Art translates climate science into experiences that connect emotionally, culturally, and personally — motivating action in ways data alone cannot. UASCA amplifies this power by pairing creativity with scientific rigor, building a more climate-literate and prepared society.

UASCA has four core areas:

1.  Conducting public events that bring together local and national visual and performing artists and scientists to enhance climate literacy and provide means for individuals and communities to understand both the impacts and recovery from climate events.

   • • Following the Louisville public event, other cities will be considered. As these are defined, we welcome artists and scientists to join in developing and undertaking the next events. This will be announced on this site. For questions, email us at info@artscience.org

2. Tools for action provides key data sources to understand extreme weather events and hazards they may present to individuals and communities.

3.  A digital magazine – New World Rising – serves to connect visual and performing artists and scientists at a local and national scale. It’s a medium to accelerate awareness of climate change artists and scientists.

4.  Digital platforms for connecting local, national and international artists with scientists and showcasing their work
