AC Academy is an educational program of Art Collider Lab, a center for nurturing creative artists. This program is based on the educational model of Art Collider Lab, which revolves around the stages of "Approach - Design - Express - Narrate." We aim to foster a mindset of interdisciplinary thinking and experimentation concerning contemporary media formats and mediums that are currently in the spotlight.
In the second semester of AC Academy, we focus on technical media experimentation. The workshop titled <Mapping-Mapping: Projection Mapping Utilized Interactive Content Creation Workshop> centers on exploring various medium of technology. The name "Mapping-Mapping" emphasizes the close connection between mapping out creative ideas ("Mapping") and projecting them as actual images, which is the technical aspect of "Mapping."
This workshop is designed for artists with [beginner] level experience in projection mapping. Participants will have the opportunity to work with a single projector initially and later explore projection mapping environments on three surfaces at AC-CAVE. The goal for each participant is to bring their ideas to life and create prototype content as the final outcome.
Notably, this program is open not only to current students of Korea National University of Arts but also to graduates or external creators. We welcome your interest and participation.
