"How does reinforcement learning of artificial intelligence work?"
Art Collider Lab at the Center for Art Convergence in Korea National University of Arts is planning a training program, <Art · Border · Collider>, that deals with the convergence of art and technology. <Art · Border · Collider> is a new brand name of “Team Learning,” which has been conducted at Art Collider Lab since 2019. Its name signifies “Exploring the boundaries of the outside beyond the art and the action of creating and learning that occurs through collisions with new fields.” <Art · Border · Collider>, held annually, consists of lectures, technical workshops, and project activities and is conducted by instructors from various fields. Participants practice joint creation (team project) through collaboration based on open source and sharing.
<Art · Border · Collider: How Does Artificial Intelligence Observe, Act, and Learn?>, held in the winter term of 2021, delves into the difference between human recognition and machine recognition and that between the learning methods of human and machine as well as aims to understand the observation, behavior, and learning of artificial intelligence that learns by itself. To do this, this program is carried out by practicing Unity 3D’s artificial intelligence reinforcement learning module. To experiment with the post-pandemic education method, <Art · Border · Collider> takes a flipped learning method. Pre-recorded lectures, technical workshops, face-to-face orientations, and project activities are provided.
In the lecture, “reinforcement learning of artificial intelligence and its potential for creative application through ML-Agents’ will be explored as well as “Unity 3D basic setting for reinforcement learning environment configuration of artificial intelligence.” The technical workshop “explores new creative possibilities by creating various artificial intelligence agents that observe, act, and learn on their own in the world created by participants.” Project activities allow participants to create a prototype through team collaboration with mentors.
