"What is machine learning?"
The Center for Art Convergence in Korea National University of Arts is planning an educational program “Team Learning” to deal with the convergence of art and technology. Team learning is held every semester and consists of lectures, technical workshops, and project activities supported by instructors from various fields. Participants practice co-creation (team project) by “collaborating” with each other, based on open source and sharing.
<Team Learning 2020: Teaching Game>, which is held in the first semester of 2020, will explore basic technologies that can be used for creation with emphasis on interactivity (block coding, beginners are welcomed), artificial intelligence (AI) and machine teaching, addressing the difference between human and machine recognition. Lectures and workshops – the first part of this team learning program – will deal with “data as a contemporary social and technological algorithm” and “how intelligent machines learn and how are they connected to our ideas?” Also, by practicing machine teaching through mBlock, we will explore various activities and conditions to create knowledge. In the team project activities of the second half, participants form a team and create screen-based interaction works with mentors (lecturers and workshop instructors) on the subject of human and machine recognition.
Duration: 2020. 4. 22. (Wed) – 6. 24. (Wed), every Wednesday, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
