"Trying artistic activities that approach social issues with technologies or seeing them from a different perspective"
The education program <Team Learning> at Center for Art Convergence, which focuses on the convergence of art and technology, is designed to feature lectures, technical workshops, and project activities conducted by instructors from various fields. Participants engage in collaborative creation(team project), through co-working based on open source and sharing.
<Team Learning 2019: Trouble Shooting @Seokgwan-dong>, an educational program for the second semester of 2019, was held at the ICT Culture Convergence Center in Pangyo. It aimed to think together about local-based, user-centered problem-solving methods based on the context of Seokgwan-dong, where the campus is located. We tried artistic activities that approach social issues with technologies or looking at them in a different perspective. The first half of team learning, composed of lectures and workshops, dealt with “art activities based on a critical mind about technology and society,” “data collection and reading using python,” “a technical approach to problem-solving using physical computing (Arduino and I/O devices).” In the team project activities during the second half of team learning, participants formed a team, select a prompt, and tried to find and implement a solution with the mentor group (lectures, workshop instructors).
