The Center for Art Convergence has integrated its 'lecture program', dedicated to academic research on diverse subjects, and its 'workshop program,' focused on creative methods based on media technology, into an 'educational program'. This integration aims to provide a more systematic and extensive approach to convergence arts education. Comprising a total of nine workshops and lectures led by instructors from various fields, the <Team Learning> program delves into contemporary media's social discourse and media creation environments. It goes beyond conventional artistic creation methods and emphasizes collaborative 'co-working,' 'open-source,' and 'sharing' as key concepts for practicing collective creation(team projects).
<Team Learning 2019: Hey, Strangers. Do It Together!>, an educational program for the first semester of 2019, aims to explore the relationship between human and artificial intelligence by encouraging human collaboration through playful media, which emphasizes various participation methods such as media interaction and play culture. In the series of six workshop sessions, we will deal with the question, "How reliable is the learned artificial intelligence?" Therefore, we will experiment with various object recognition exercises using Microsoft’s cloud AI platform – Azure – and Raspberry Pi. Three lectures will be offered as well to take a more in-depth approach to “open-source and sharing,” “collaboration and creation,” and “artificial intelligence and humans.”
