The AI speakers respond or the robot vacuum cleaners clean the house by themselves. It seems that they make autonomous decisions; however, it is because of pre-entered commands. Thanks to this, these devices do not just wait to be thrown into the user’s house and used, but rather get to actively present their own uses and operation methods. However, what the objects suggest and what the users want are inevitably different. From minor errors to the malfunctions causing fatal accidents, all these moments of discordances are due to the machines with technological limits, also, caused by the humans who are users and designers at the same time. <Pathfinder> features the three types of devices, a robot vacuum cleaner, an AI speaker, and a 3D printer and addresses the relationships each device has with the human-world.
