In the final session, we shared each other’s playing experiences. During the previous sessions, each participant presented his or her own gameplay and perspectives, shared mutual feedback, organized the ideas before processing those into various contents, such as texts and videos, and shared their future steps. And we tried to form a bond of sympathy to talk about the game, not just share our own experiences.
In addition to the subjective impression of the games and the social and cultural phenomena surrounding the games, we also shared each other’s diverse perspectives on a single game. Also, in the context of cultural research, we had time to summarize how research on games should be carried out and how game criticism and game writing should be done. The theoretical and discursive history of games is very short compared to those of other media, and there were a lot of changes and transitions during this short time period. Therefore, it is not possible to draw a single definitive conclusion. However, just sharing our stories with people who view the games from different perspectives is meaningful enough.
Therefore, we shared our own gameplay experiences and various perspectives on the games, and we explored new ways to enjoy the game together.
