What is March Mammal Madness?
"March Mammal Madness is a simulated tournament in which you imagine different animal species from around the world coming together to compete against each other for the title of March Mammal Madness Champion. This exciting education and outreach activity is run by a team of scientists led by Professor Katie Hinde from Arizona State University. They use scientific research on the participating species to determine the outcomes of simulated head-to-head competition between different species, which play out in real time on the MMM2018 Twitter account. Since 2013 people from all over the world have tried to predict the winners of this annual tournament – this year >600 educators and 50,000 K-12 students have already signed up to participate. Why don’t you? Head over to the official site of March Mammal Madness 2018 to download and fill in your bracket, then follow the competition on the and by following #MMM2018. Maybe *you* will be the one to predict what species will emerge as champion" from Biotropica
