A pandemic E-book emerges from a land full of social distancing middle schoolers.
What happens when you tell the most interactive people -- teenagers - to stay away from their friends?
An ebook was created that contains a set of poetic and scientific observations of the world that Amherst Regional Middle School students experienced during the Covid - 19 pandemic. Each 7th grade student was asked to observe an aspect of their pandemic constrained world, and use these observations to draw sketches, and write poems and reflections
A group of Amherst Regional Middle School students set out to make a historic ebook presenting as many team Midnight students’ work as possible. The Editors include Kouta Ueki, Daniella Sherman, Sonia Rashid, Lily Oldford, Felix Goeckel, River Wolaver, and Indigo Halasz. They asked their peers to send them their favorite poem & observation. Their contributions can be found in the ebook titled, Observation Field Journals: Poems, Sketches, and Reflections. These student editors used internet resources, collaboration, and determination to publish online, one of the largest ebooks in Amherst Regional Middle School history.
