Making My Seeds Grow!

Overview:

This project starts off as a homework assignment where students are asked to bring in any seeds from either food they eat or plants outside. Then, students are asked to do a little bit of research to learn what sort of conditions their seeds would need to germinate. Finally, students are asked to make a plan (and then carry it out) to set up their seeds for successful germination. Once the seeds were planted, it was each student's responsibility to care for them as they planned to. They would do this as they came into class, between class, and after school.

We gave students acknowledgement for successful germination; further acknowledgement for successful flowering; and greatest acknowledgement for successful fruit production.
