In 2015 - 2016 Wildwood students were outraged that the Caldecott Committee was (and still is) only made up of adult judges. They decided they needed to do something about it!
In 2015 - 2016 Wildwood students were outraged that the Caldecott Committee was (and still is) only made up of adult judges. They decided they needed to do something about it!
The Best of Wildwood Award began that same year. Only kids were (and still are) allowed to vote. Up until 2021, only Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade students could vote. Our 3rd grade classes create the judging criteria and in 2022 they decided to let all grade levels vote.
