Mrs. Samson

I have been teaching in the Amherst-Pelham district since 2012. Before moving here, I spent a year teaching Elementary, Middle, and High School orchestras on the East Coast of Massachusetts. I currently teach orchestra in Crocker Farm, Fort River, Pelham, and Wildwood Elementary Schools.

I went to school for my undergraduate in Cello Performance and Music Education at the University of Delaware, and completed my Master's in Music Education through Boston University. The cello is my main and favorite instrument, but I’ve come to love playing many different instruments over the years.

I love to encourage my students to try new skills and gain confidence in their own abilities through practice and exploration. Learning an instrument is not always easy, sometimes it can be quite challenging (especially in the beginning), but if you stick with it and try your best, music can take you to beautiful places and connect you with some of the most wonderful people.
