PRIVATE SCHOOL RECOMMENDATION PROCESS GUIDELINES
The following guidelines have been developed to ensure that each student’s private school application process runs smoothly.
Email Cheryl Kerr, Private School Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to School Counseling and Administration, at ckerr@arlington.k12.ma.us with a complete list of schools and their application deadlines.
To release transcript information, sign the Release of Information section online or complete the form and email it to Cheryl Kerr.
Online requests for the Counselor/Administrator School Report (via platforms like Ravenna or Gateway) should be sent directly to the student’s School Counselor’s email address.
Requests for teacher recommendations (e.g., Math, English) should be sent to the respective teachers’ email addresses. Before submitting an online request, students should speak with their teachers in person to ask for the recommendation.
Complete the Caregiver Insight Form that will be automatically sent to the school counselor upon submission.
If online recommendation submissions are not available, please provide stamped envelopes for each teacher recommendation (Math, English, etc.) and place them in a folder addressed to Cheryl Kerr.
Reminder: Recommendations are confidential between the requesting school and Ottoson Middle School personnel.
