If you are a parent that doesn't receive the summaries from Google Classroom and would like to receive these summaries, please send me an email.  I will send you and invitation to sign-up for these summaries.  Once you have accepted  you will see a summary for all your student's classes and not just my class.

We will be using a online digital resource (which has not been selected yet) instead of a physical textbook during the school year.  However, for those students that would like to also have access to physical textbook, those will be available but may not follow the same sequence as we do in class.

In AP chemistry, students will be challenged to demonstrate their understanding of concepts in a variety of ways, including multiple choice questions, open response questions, problem sets and other forms that will convey and assess the depth of their understanding.  Summer reading will include a few self grading quizzes that will test a few different skills I will expect you have before we start school (Details coming during the second week of July).  We will be applying significant figures throughout our work and I will expect that you have memorized the first 20 amino acids on the periodic table.  This will help with your fluency when working with a variety of different problem types.  I'm looking forward to a fun and fast paced exploration of chemistry as we work towards the AP exam for Chemistry on Monday May 6th 2024.

Please join the summer AP Chemistry Google Classroom for access to the summer reading/assignments.
