Some of my previous and current research is highlighted below. Moving forward, I plan to continue publishing papers on data I've gathered, and then explore topics related to sleep and development in larger, open-access datasets.
Research Studies
Image: Hippocampal formation in representative youth (Lovos et al., in preparation). Here I measure hippocampal volume and connectivity to investigate the magnitude of their contribution to higher cognitive skills such as creativity, curiosity and prediction.
Image: Seven days of circadian activity for representative teen (Lovos et al., 2021). In this project I investigate circadian rhythms and whether they affect cognition in typically- and atypically-developing children and teens.
Image: Anna's Hummingbird (courtesy of Jay Pierstorff of the Sonoran Desert Museum). In collaboration with the Sonoran Desert Museum and the Banner Cancer Center, we took Sonoran Desert video footage into a cancer treatment center and measured its effect on patients' perceived stress.
