Hi! I'm Marie Morrison and this year- 26/27 will be my 13th year as a Life Skills Teacher. I've been married for over 30 years and have 3 sons. I have 2 brand new grandbabies also so that is a huge new part of my life that I love. I enjoy gardening, my chickens and goats, and love being outdoors when the temps are below 90. :) I love to laugh and believe life is too short to not have fun, even at work or school.
I have a passion for what I do and I will always advocate, be consistent, have honest feedback, encourage independence, validate and include parental input while making learning a priority at school. My teaching style is to be firm, consistent, but also fair. I value high expectations for my classroom and my students. I see the big picture beyond High School, and know that it's what drives our instruction, our planning and our activities while at school.
Having a home/school connection and working together creates success for our students. I have an open communication policy and welcome questions, feedback, concerns, and ask that you reach out when you want more information. I will be your teen's biggest cheerleader at school, and want the absolute best for my students. In my class, we will learn how to practice our skills to ensure success, ask questions, learn new skills, think positively about our future, and respect one another during that journey. I have rules, rewards for good behavior and will implement natural consequences when rules are not followed or students demonstrate a need for more learning. Parents are always included in those decisions.
Use this site as a good overview for our class: look at our library to explore the books we will be reading, our projects, cooking activies, community based outings, and our work based learning business. They will have jobs in our WBL business that rotate each week, and $$ earned from selling our product goes into our class account to then make purchases at the store for supplies, recipe ingredients, inventory replenishing, etc...Great job readiness on a weekly basis! Students also have jobs to complete in each class period also to earn paychecks in their class wallet. Once a month or so, my store opens up for them to make "purchases." It's good practice for buying and budgeting with an earned income.

Hi everyone! My name is Tiana Wedgeworth (Mrs. T), and I am so glad to be supporting our students in Mrs. Morrison's room this year! This will be my 12th year working in special education, and my 6th year here at Argyle High School. I have been married for over 14 years and have a son who is a Junior this year.
At school, I love helping students navigate everything from daily coursework and social/coping skills to vocational projects and life-skills training.
Off the clock, you can usually find me fishing, crafting, gardening, cheering on OU football (BOOMER), and spending time with my family and friends.
I’m looking forward to watching our students accomplish great things this year!
