This school year, students will complete a Biome Research Project in Life Science. Each student will be assigned a biome to research, including its climate, plants, animals, food web, and human impact. Students will use their research to create a tri-fold poster and deliver a short presentation in May 2027.
Please don’t feel overwhelmed by the timeline! We will work on this project little by little throughout the school year, with guided lessons, classroom work time, and smaller checkpoints to help students stay on track. Students are not expected to complete the entire project at home or all at once.
Please check this website for project instructions, resources, and updates throughout the year. Our goal is to help students build their research, organization, and presentation skills one step at a time!

Today students turned in their Biome summary research. I called this "Checkpoint #1".
They will now work on writing all the information on the "checkpoint #1" sheet into a rough draft journal entry This is due on Wednesday, 10/28/26.
Click here for the paper on which they should be writing this rough draft on.

As students research their biome, they will be documenting this on a journal similar to the example shown here.
