Content of the course
The four themes to be studied are:
Relationships and families;
Sex, marriage, cohabitation and divorce. Issues related to the nature and purpose of families; roles of men and women; equality; gender prejudice and discrimination
Religion and Life;
Abortion. Euthanasia. Animal experimentation
Religion, peace and conflict;
Violence, war, pacifism, terrorism, just war theory, holy war; the concepts of justice, forgiveness and reconciliation
Religion, Crime and punishment;
Corporal punishment. Death penalty. Forgiveness.
