When your student's program fee is published, you will find it on the program page on our website. To locate them, click on Fees & Deadlines in the navigation bar. This will navigate to a black box further down on the page. The black box lists the Term/Period, Program Dates, Fees, and Deadlines. The amount listed in the black box is the program fee, which is the standard (or base) cost of the program. Click More Info+ to read the fee sheet in full.
Fee Sheet
The fee sheet will list the program dates and the number of credits earned on the program. It will also list the tuition and orientation cost, with notes; then housing (room) cost with notes. The total program fee is the billable amount of the program, before any supplemental fees.
Supplemental Fees
Some programs will have an additional section called Potential Additional Fees. This second may include details on supplemental course or housing fees. Potential fees outlined are unique to each student and will not apply to every student. Common supplemental fees including laboratory fees or additional housing fees for enhanced housing.
Estimate of Additional Expenses
The Estimate of Additional Expenses are not costs that are billed by Arcadia Abroad but are things your student should budget for: meals, commuting, visas, flights, and books. We encourage you to work with your student to develop a budget that makes sense for you and your student. We provide students with a Budgeting Worksheet to assist with planning.
Arcadia Abroad works with hundreds of schools across the country. If we have a specific billing arrangement with your student's US school, the details of that will be outlined in the Fees & Payments tab of your student's Arcadia Abroad Portal. Each of these schools have their own specific process for managing study abroad approval and billing. It can be complicated, but we are familiar with and comfortable with supporting your student with their payment needs.
If your student is using financial aid from their home school toward their Arcadia Abroad bill, please ask your student's home school financial aid office to remit the Financial Aid Deferment Form by the full payment date. We will defer billing for any aid that will be disbursed by your student's home school until 10 days after the disbursement date listed. Any balance not covered by your student's financial aid must be paid by the full payment due date.
Your student is encouraged to apply for scholarships. Arcadia Abroad maintains a curated list of scholarships on our website. This list is not exhaustive and students are encouraged to apply for scholarships sourced on their own.
Depending on the billing arrangement with your student's home school, we will either invoice your student or their university. CashNet is our payment system, accessed via your student's Arcadia Abroad Portal. Your student may add an Authorized Payer to CashNet, which gives that person a login and access with ability to make payments.
Your student's payment date will vary based on program term and country.
