Studying abroad is a big decision that you and your student have made and we know it’s likely that you have many questions. To assist, we are pleased to share an online orientation site designed just for you - the family and support network of a student studying on an Arcadia Abroad program - that will address many of your questions.
As a trusted loved one of an Arcadia Abroad student, we encourage you to review this Family Orientation site as it contains comprehensive information on a variety of topics. As you click through the module, you will find the following:
An overview of pre-departure support related to admissions, housing, immigration, and more.
Our approach to health, safety, & security, including our response to emergencies.
A review of financial processes and deadlines.
Guidance on preparing for academics, including grade conversions and transcripts.
The content has been prepared by members of Arcadia Abroad staff representing Advising and Student Engagement, Academic Enterprise, and Health, Safety, and Student Affairs. The content on this site is general and can be applied to students on all programs. Your student has received a similar orientation module that also contains program-specific information. We encourage you to have a conversation with your student about their program and their orientation materials.
You are a critical member of your student’s support network and a valued member of our team. Thank you for trusting us with your student as they embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
