Mission Statement
The mission statement of the Ar-We-Va Community School's Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive, developmental, and preventative program that addresses the academic, career, and personal, social-emotional development of all students. School Counselors are student advocates who collaborate with all stakeholders to provide leadership for change and student success. School Counselors use data-driven strategies and research-drive techniques to ensure that all students are prepared with the knowledge and skills to contribute as productive members of society and lifelong learners.
My mission as a Professional School Counselor is to provide services and support to students and their families. I will promote and facilitate the development of all students to enhance their academic, career, personal, and social abilities. I am committed to treat all students to treat all students with equity and to guide each unique individual to achieve their maximum potential.
Vision Statement
All students from the Ar-We-Va Community School’s possess the academic skills to be lifelong learners, the social-emotional skills to be global leaders, and are excited to enter into careers that contribute to their community. They realize their value and worth, appreciate diversity, can make self-directed and responsible decisions, effectively display empathy, and are resilient through long and short-term challenges.
The vision of the School Counseling Department is also dedicated to empowering every student to achieve academic success, personal and social growth, and wellness and career exploration. The counseling program will advocate to ensure all students are successful by collaborating, consulting, and teaming with parents, community members, and other educators to support student achievement.

School counselors collaborate with families, stakeholders, and community resources to meet the students’ needs.
All students can expect that school is a safe and nurturing environment.
The comprehensive school counseling program is continuously refined and improved through systematic review and evaluation of data.
