What is MAP testing ?
MAP® is a US computer adaptive test created by NWEA™ that students take two times a year. The test adjusts to each student’s learning level, providing a unique set of test questions based on responses. It is designed to determine each student’s academic growth over time.
See a full guide.
How do students prepare for the test?
Get a good night sleep
Eat a healthy breakfast
Arrive on time
Practice area for students.
Children do not need to prepare for the test, but NWEA does provide a Practice Test so that children can preview the screens and practice using the mouse and tools provided in the program. The username and password are both "grow".
Where can I find more information about this test?
NWEA has an entire section for families. See this link for a drop down menu of frequent questions.
They also offer an entire section in Spanish, designed for Spanish speakers living in the US.
When will we receive the results?
Your child´s results will be sent out electronically about a month after all children in the school have completed the test.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email your teacher.
