Children are asked to read at least one chapter book for homework by January 10th. Vacation Under the Volcano is an example of one of the books. If your child is still developing as a reader, he or she will require assistance.  Shared reading and listening to a reader are both powerful activities to improve reading. We also offer the option of listening to recordings. Children are expected to bring the book back to school by January 8th. 

If the book is lost or damaged, you will be asked to replace it.
