APU’s Career Center offers resources, workshops, events, career consultation appointments, and information to support students and alumni in their professional endeavors. Yes, even after students graduate our services don't go away!
We live to serve students here at APU, and we invest in building our students' professional skills, confidence, and competencies. With our help, students are not only successful in finding a job or being accepted to their dream graduate schools, but they are also more confident in their vocational journey. We see student achieve success in these 3 competencies:
1st Core Competency -
We are happy to note that 87% of APU graduates find a job less than a year after graduation, which is higher than the national average of 50-70%.
2nd Core Competency -
Students who stop by our office for support are 2.2x more likely to receive a paid internship, and who doesn’t like to get paid for building their skills outside the classroom?! There are many resources and services available to students, ranging from internship search to applying to graduate school.
3rd Core Competency -
Finally, we are proud to say that APU student leave their time at APU with 3 (or more) types of experiences they can highlight on their resume to help them stand out as candidates in the workforce or on grad applications.
UG: OSD volunteer hours, service-learning courses, internship or research site.
GRAD: Practicum experience, certification(s), final project or capstone.
