With Handshake, students and alumni can connect with recruiters and employers, discover on and off-campus jobs and internships, save job searches, get hired, attend in-person or virtual events, and more!
Here is how to access your handshake account through your APU net ID.

There are many benefits to filling out your profile in Handshake, and driving your profile to completion!
For example, Handshake will provide you with personalized job recommendations based on the information you enter on your profile — This allows you to discover jobs and internships that are relevant to you! Employers are also more likely to proactively reach out to you with job opportunities and event invitations if your profile is complete. To fully complete your profile in Handshake you want to:

To add the information individually, click on your icon in the upper-right corner of the page, then click My Profile.
Include details in the following sections: Looking for, Summary, Skills, Work experience, Education, Courses, Organizations, Projects, Languages, Profile Picture.
Once everything is added, your profile will be completed in Handshake!
To update personal information on your profile, such as your name, pronouns, location, and any links you'd like to include, refer to Update Personal Information on Your Profile.
Employers can only view your profile if you've set your profile settings to Community or Employers. Students and alumni can only view your profile if you've set your profile to Community. To learn more about your profile privacy options, refer to Profile Privacy Options in Handshake.
APU has many on-campus jobs for various departments. Departments will typically begin hiring for Fall starting in late spring and summer, and hire for Spring in late fall, however, departments hire throughout the year. Here's how to look for on-campus jobs:
Log in to Handshake using your APU single sign-on.
Click on the ‘Jobs’ tab in the lefthand corner to find all job postings.
Once you are on the job postings page, you will see a side panel with a list of jobs and a header with various filter buttons.
To find jobs on-campus, click on the On-campus filter button on the header.
To save a job use the bookmark button.
Hit Apply and complete the application instructions
All on-campus jobs require and up to date, On-Campus Employment Application found in the Career Center Resources tab.
You may also be required to submit a Resume, Cover Letter, Video Application depending on the role
