Membership

There exist three levels of membership in AHS: General Membership, Committee Membership, and Executive Membership. Each hold their own requirements and responsibilities which are outlined in the AHS Constitution, available to view on this site but below is a quick reference as well as the application for all levels of membership.

General Membership:

• Acquisition:
  • Freshmen Students: All Freshmen accounting students are granted automatic membership to AHS and only need to register their information with AHS.
  • Sophomore to Senior Students: Apply to the membership application
  • Graduate Students: All graduate students are granted automatic membership to AHS and only need to register their information with AHS
• Maintenance:
  • Undergraduate Students: Reapply to the membership application every April
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Attendance at 1 professional and 1 social event per semester (Only for undergraduate students)

Committee Membership:

• Acquisition:
  • Freshmen Students: Committee membership is not open to Freshmen students
  • Sophomore to Graduate Students: Apply to the membership application and the leadership application for committee members
• Maintenance:
  • Reapply to the membership and leadership application every April
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Attendance of 2 professional and social events per semester
  • Attendance at a majority of scheduled committee meetings

Executive Membership:

• Acquisition:
  • Freshmen and Sophomore Students: Executive membership is not open to Freshmen and Sophomore students
  • Junior and Graduate Students: Apply to the membership application and the leadership application for executive members
• Maintenance:
  • Reapply to the membership and leadership application every April
  • Cumulative GPA 3.25
  • Attendance at all professional and social events
  • Attendance at all executive leadership meetings
