We are drawing owls and creating texture with lines for the owls feathers. Then we will explore using value to make different parts of the owl light, medium and dark.

We are learning what a landscape is, and practicing drawing one. Then, we will identify warm and cool colors to help up complete the landscape.

We are reading If the Dinosaurs Came Back and drawing a city for our dinosaurs to inhabit. Then we are adding dinosaurs and people interacting with them!

We are learning about art class expectations and routines. This week we are looking at Derrick Adams' Floaters series of paintings. Going to the pool and having fun can be part of our daily life in the summer. We will talk about what our lives looked like in the summer. For independent practice, we will draw something from our daily life.
