Akron School for the Arts Application and Auditions

Open Enrollment Window for CCAA and Specialty Programs for the 2023-24 is October 3 - December 1.

Auditions for the Akron School for the Arts will be held in November. Please email Becky Duhon at bduhon@apslearns.org, for more information.

To enroll as an Akron School for the Arts student at Firestone Community Learning Center, applicants must complete the enrollment application and audition process.

Prospective students may audition for up to TWO Arts Interest Areas.

Each Arts Interest Area has specific audition requirements, see below.

Apply for the Akron School for the Arts

1. Complete the Akron School for the Arts (ASA) application even if you have open enrolled.
2. Two References - Completed through the Recommendation From link on the left.
  - If references are unable to complete recommendation form electronically, they should call Firestone CLC main office at 330-761-3270 and ask for Becky Duhon.

ALL AUDITION TIMES FOR DANCE, THEATRE, VOCAL, STRINGS AND VISUAL ARTS ARE FILLED. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO AUDITION FOR ANY OF THOSE AREAS, PLEASE CONTACT BECKY DUHON AT 330 761-3270 OR EMAIL bduhon@apslearns.org

Please click the button to the left to sign-up for an audition time. Each of the specialty areas will be conducting their own auditions. Students auditioning for Band, Orchestra, Vocal Music, Dance and/or Theatre will have an in-person audition. Auditions for the Visual Arts Program will be in-person or virtual. Students electing the virtual option will be sent a Google Meet link for their audition appointment. Audition dates and times are listed below for you to check out before signing-up for a time. Audition time slots are 15-20 minutes in length.

Applicants are allowed to apply/audition for up to two (2) programs offered in the Akron School for the Arts.
