Chorus is a year-long performance ensemble that represents John Lewis Invictus Academy in the community. All students are welcome to join the chorus.
Our goals are to:
❖ Sing expressively with good technique
❖ Gain skills in music reading and notation
❖ Reflect on musical performances with academic language
❖ Understand the history and culture of music, specially the choral arts
❖ Contribute to the community
Some performances will require "Concert Black" attire. These are generally formal events such as Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE). "Concert Black" is all black, formal dress. Singers will be notified in advance when to wear their all black Concert Black. All articles of clothing must be black. Check the photos for inspiration.
