During our 2024-2025 Pre-planning, teachers participated in a professional development session focused on the engineering design process. In this hands-on workshop, educators were challenged to design and construct a rocket using provided materials, with the objective of sending a message above ground, simulating an emergency scenario where they were hypothetically trapped underground. No instructions were given on how to build the rocket, encouraging participants to rely on their creativity, problem-solving skills, and collaborative efforts. This exercise aimed to enhance their understanding of engineering principles and ensure they are well-prepared to incorporate these concepts into their classrooms.
