David T. Howard Middle School is located in Midtown Atlanta. It was donated in 1923/1924 as a primary school by Mr. David T. Howard. Through its existence as a primary, high, and middle school, it has educated legends like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Herman J. Russell, and Walt Frazier. Our mission is through an inclusive culture of equity, collaboration, and excellence, all students will be empowered to be innovators and responsive citizens. The vision of David T. Howard Middle School is an engaging and inclusive community that ensures all students reach their individual academic potential and develop critical thinking skills through STEAM so they can navigate a rapidly changing world.
