I have been teaching since 2013. I come from a long lineage of educators, and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I have a masters in Instructional Technology and a specialist in Middle Grades ELA, which I taught for 10 years before making the switch to elementary. However, I do try and keep things interesting in my life (not that teaching doesn't do that daily), but I like to spread my wings during my free time. When I'm not at work, you can find anywhere from a Braves game (as often as possible)  to reading in my home library. My wife, Avery, and I have 3 wonderful pups (Cooper, Penny, and Tuck) and a cat (well, Avery's cat) named Loki. I am excited to be a part of MES, and I look forward to a great school year!

I’m excited to be joining the 5th grade team as a math teacher. I’ve lived in Atlanta for the past twenty years, including the last fifteen in Morningside. I have two sons—Owen, who will be in eighth grade next year at David T. Howard, and Garrett, who will be returning to Morningside for fifth grade after attending Schenck for fourth. My boys are very active, and I always enjoy running into students and families out in the community.
