For Parents & Caregivers Resources to Help You Help Your Loved One

Practical, research-backed information: from tips on preventing substance use, to guidance on managing recovery from addiction, we have the information and resources you need at every step of the way.

Parents and caregivers have a significant influence in their children’s decisions to experiment with alcohol and other drugs. Use that influence to have open, honest conversations that help you connect with your kids.

Children who talk to their parents frequently about substance use are up to 50% less likely to use substances themselves. Having these conversations decreases the chances of having to talk with your child about seeking professional help down the road. So talk with your child as soon as the time is right — and keep the conversation going!
