Welcome to 1st Grade!

Meet Mrs. Hickman

Hello! My name is Coley Hickman, I am so excited to get to work along side you and your child this year! The 2026-2027 school year will mark my 8th year teaching. I hold a level 3 teaching license with my bachelor's & master's degrees in Elementary Education from Eastern New Mexico University. I am also TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certified.

I was born and raised in ABQ, New Mexico. Both my husband and I are elementary teachers and John Baker alumni! Some of my hobbies outside of teaching include drawing, running, playing with my dog, watching movies, and eating yummy food (Chinese is my favorite)! The most important thing to me as an educator is building strong relationships with you and your child that will promote success both in and outside the classroom.
