Snow Day Activities

Here are some things to do if school is cancelled due to a snow day:

• Read something worthwhile for 30-60 minutes.

• Compare and contrast how plants and animals adapt to their environment in the summer compared to the winter. You can write a paragraph or create and complete a Venn Diagram.

• Practice math facts (flashcards, making up problems on a blank sheet of paper,.)

• Write a story where your main character is in a winter environment. Create a unique adventure.

• Study current vocabulary and/or spelling words.

If technology is available:

• iReady Math Fluency Flight

• Any work that needs to be completed in Google Classroom.

• iReady My Path lessons for reading or math

• Take a picture of yourself in the snow.
