For our 2022-2023 school year, we will focus on building a strong foundation in the students' native language (whether it is English or Spanish). Simultaneously, students will be provided with opportunities to be challenged and immersed in second language acquisition.
Our core curriculum for English Language Arts (ELA) will continue to be Fundations, which provides explicit phonics instruction that helps students improve their reading and spelling skills. Students curriculum will be enhanced through the use of Benchmark Advanced. Some of the components we will work on are comprehension, vocabulary, writing, grammar, listening, and speaking. Science and Social Studies are embedded in each unit. In addition, we will continue to use I-Station as a monitoring tool and additional support with personalized lessons.
