Gifted SEMINAR

Gifted Seminar Program Summary:

Gifted Seminar is a program built for students that have shown strengths in the areas of Critical Thinking and/or Creativity. Class curriculum is mostly student-driven and will be aligned with the Common Core State Standards. Assignments and activities will be project-based and focus on the students’ IEP goals and the Gifted Strands (detailed in the box below). Students will be expected to come to class prepared, and show Respect, Responsibility, and Determination, with a can-do attitude. Research, writing, presentation, communication, cooperation, and leadership skills will be developed throughout the year.

Examples of Activities we will be doing regularly throughout the year include: daily critical thinking/creativity warm ups; team-based building or performance challenges; and improvisation activities.
