This week we are asking students to spend some time reflecting on our 2nd grade year. Across the year we have shared great moments of growth, experienced major changes, learned a few new things and of course had some fun to! Attached you will find a memory book that students are free to print and work through or use as inspiration in creating their own. We are hopeful that these special memory books will give students a chance to be creative along with serving as a way to help students remember our year together. Students are free to work on their memory books daily as this is not something that needs to be completed and turned in on a specific day. Check out this week's checklist as we have suggested pages to help guide students for the week.
This week students we are going to be working with a new set of words following a new syllable pattern. Students will be able to pick a daily activity that they would like to work on Monday - Wednesday! Using the -le Syllables word list and the Speller's Choice Menu students need to complete at least 1 activity daily and upload it to their Class Dojo portfolio.
Keep in mind, although most activities are CAN DO, the syllabication activity is a MUST DO. At least once during the week students need to review the Syllabication Presentation and work through marking up their words by syllable type.
Go through the Google Slides -le Syllables presentation. Take notes as you go. Work alongside Mrs. Ibañez to mark up the -le syllables on words 1-5 Try to mark up words 6-10 from your word list on your own!
