Title I Schools that receive Title I funds, are expected to collaborate with families to develop and maintain a parent and Family Engagement (FE) Policy.  The FE Policy should describe the school’s approach to involve families in students’ learning and includes a FE Compact expressing the partnerships among administration, teachers, families and students to reach high academic goals for every student. 

The school Family Engagement Policy and Compact are to be distributed and available to all families in a language that families can understand. Families must have the opportunity to provide comments and feedback on the FE Policy and Compact through a parent/family meeting.

FE School Policy: Revision and updates must be made during this meeting. Please indicate the date of revision. Copies of the Family Engagement Policy are to be posted and made available at the school.

FE School Compact: Revision and updates must be made during this meeting. Please indicate the date of revision. Copies of the Family Engagement Compact are to be distributed and signed by administration, teachers, students and families.
