The Counseling Center provides short-term individual counseling to currently enrolled students. Students who present with concerns that may require longer or more intensive treatment, or expertise not available in the Counseling Center, are assisted with a referral to off-campus practitioners who are able to provide such care.
The Counseling Center has options for Telemental Health when the clinician assesses this as appropriate to meeting the student's needs and with consideration of legal and ethical standards. Please review the Counseling Center's Telemental Health Informed Consent.

Adjustment to College
Eating Concerns/Body Image
Grief and Loss

Distress or trauma caused by discrimination, oppression, or harassment

Sessions are typically 45 minutes every other week. Most students experience improvement within 1 - 5 sessions. If needed, a referral to a private therapist or community service will be made as early as possible.
