2024-2025 SHRM Mission Statement
This chapter of SHRM strives to go beyond the classroom to provide our members with the resources and opportunities to gain professional knowledge, skill, and abilities needed for a successful career in Human Resource Management. We will accomplish this by creating a safe learning environment by supporting questions and suggestions. By doing this, we will encourage our members to not only learn about the areas of HR and new trends in the field, but also apply the knowledge in group discussion, meeting activities, and through the funding of various conference opportunities.

Collaboration: Teamwork makes the dream work! Our chapter aims to work together on a regular basis with our active members, peer organizations and greater Boone community to spread knowledge about the Human Resources field.
Active Learning: Looking for a place to connect your coursework to the workplace? We don't just talk at our members in meetings. We strive to create a safe environment for active learning through engaging discussions and relevant special guests!
Innovation: Do you want to be pushed to challenge the status quo? Our appreciation for diversity allows us to develop and facilitate conversations around solutions to real-world problems within the Human Resources field.
Community Outreach: Much of Human Resources involves creating synergy between the collection of different communities brought to the workplace. We prioritize out community through various volunteer opportunities, tabling events and more!
