I take great pride and joy in teaching! In the classroom I do my best to create an environment that fosters critical thought, and exploration of new ideas while simultaneously reinforcing the foundations of scientific inquiry. I do so by employing a very active teaching approach and by drawing from my professional experiences as a researcher and Geographic Information Systems analyst in the public and non-profit environmental job sectors. Additionally, I do my best to get my students OUTSIDE. I believe the best way to learn about the physical environment, is to experience it firsthand! Below is a list of courses that I have taught, or am currently teaching.
