Sentence Fluency Activities for Newcomers (from ELSF)
Opportunities to interact: Try these game-based activities to encourage interaction and language use and foster your student’s development of BICS – Basic Interpersonal Communication Skills. These activities are grounded in academic content but don’t replace grade-level standards-based instruction. These can be used 1-on-1 with the teacher, in small groups, or with a buddy.
