OUR VISION
We believe in inclusive instructional approaches in serving Emergent Bilingual/Multilingual learners so that students have greater opportunities throughout their instructional day which ultimately promotes academic language and literacy development.
OUR MISSION
It is the mission of the Portland Public Schools ELD Academic Program to prepare PPS educators with the perspectives and resources needed to implement equitable and culturally sustaining practices that value linguistic diversity and inclusion. We do this to serve our students so they are able to achieve the attributes of the Graduate Portrait.
