STEM
In this hands-on course, students integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through a variety of interactive projects and design challenges. Areas of study include robotics, engineering concepts, circuits, magnetism, and renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power. This course may only be taken one time.
Please note that this is a current 8th-grade level course and is taught with that level of rigor. Enrollment is limited, and we may not be able to place all interested students. Final roster selections will be based on application data and MAP scores.
An interest form is required for consideration. Students must be logged into their Wylie ISD student account to access and submit the form.
Important: Due to the math demands of this course, it is strongly recommended that 7th-grade students who enroll in STEM also take Pre-Algebra.
