Rick Riordan is a very good author (in my opinion) who has made a few series such as Percy Jackson, Trials of Apollo and Heroes of Olympus.

Rick Riordan was also a schoolteacher for 15 years and the whole time he was writing mystery novels and he began writing kids fantasy books after retiring.
