What is a Community Impact Project?
The Community Impact Project is any carefully monitored service experience in which an individual has intentional learning goals and reflects on what they are learning through the experience. Students that choose this option will identify, research, and undertake a project to impact a particular issue in the community. There are two options for completion of the project.
1) Community Impact Engagement in the Community - This option allows you to organize, carry out and reflect on a project that impacts your community. Must adhere to all State of Connecticut social distancing guidelines when completing this project.
2). Virtual Community Impact Project - This option allows you to organize , carry out, and reflect on a project that impacts your community. This can be done utilizing distance learning technology.
To align with social distancing guidelines established by both the State and National governments, SWHS , has developed a virtual option to help you complete your Capstone requirement. This opportunity will allow you to start your project immediately by doing all the requirements utilizing distance learning technology.
