The Ottawa-Glandorf Jazz Band consists of high school students who participate in the group as an extra-curricular. The group meets once a week after school following the conclusion of the marching band season. Many members learn a secondary instrument in order to participate in the traditional "big band" instrumentation. Occasionally, alternative instruments have been permitted to perform on a student-by-student basis.

The Jazz Band adopts a new name every year and typically only performs twice: a short preview at the Band Spectacular and then a full concert all to themselves shortly after.
