Write a descriptive paragraph using at least one simile and one metaphor. Choose a short event memory to describe, i.e. riding a rollercoaster, visiting the lake, walking through a corn maze...
Make sure to include a topic sentence introducing what you are describing and at least 5 sentences describing it.
*Watch out for vague sentences. Eliminate vague sentences like, "The walk was nice."
* Use concrete detail to describe the memory. What did you hear? What did you see? What did you smell? What did it feel like?
